Evaluate Technologies That Could Meet Requirements and Design Solution
CoP's should use a four step process to select technologies. These steps are:
- Step 1: Conduct Market Survey and Identify COTS/GOTS Options, Including evaluating options available within the Agency
- Step 2: Evaluate COTS/GOTS Options and Identify Candidate Solution
- Step 3: Identify Potential Solutions and Pros and Cons
- Step 4: Conduct Costs/Benefit/Risk Analysis and Make Recommendations
